Well this weekend was supposed to be a Halloween extravaganza. Typically we would have gone to the annual party at the Johnson's house but this year they were elsewhere. So instead we decided to go out to a bar...that was abruptly halted by a freak snow storm. Kind of odd getting like 4-6 inches of snow in October...but hey whatever. I was at work pretty much all day on Saturday anyway getting our self promo mailing done. We apparently also lost power at home during the late afternoon, which was not good. Rain, snow, wind, cold and no power equals no heat which in turn means Erin is frozen.
Not knowing how long the power would be out, we decided to get a hotel room for the night on the advice from Shannon and the fact that Erin was slowly freezing solid. We got a room at the Marriott in Trumbull and had a nice night relaxing and watching movies. I had to go back into work again today, so after breakfast that was the rest of my afternoon.
Friday we went to the movies to see Paranormal Activity 3. Being the weekend of Halloween I had expected a few more people than normal in the theater but the place pretty much packed. Now with a scary movie you have to assume that you might be...uh...SCARED! This effing morons in the theater were completely and utterly stupid. So stupid that for me, it basically made the movie not scary. There were a few things that I was like..DAMN...about, but other than that, with all the nimrods yelling stupid shit or the lady behind us literally answering her phone in the theater and having a conversation on it towards the end, it wasn't really scary. I finished up the last two things I needed for my costume that night too...but it will have to wait till next year I guess.
Lazy afternoon for the rest of Sunday and into the night. Debating on whether or not to shave since "No Shave November" is almost here. But who knows...Monday brings grocery shopping so we get to pick our menu for the week tonight. Some crappy eating of the last two days has negated any weight loss but you never know. Well...see ya soon!
